Do I need a GP referral?
If you are paying for yourself, you can usually book directly without a referral, although a letter from your GP summarising your medical history is helpful. If you are using private medical insurance, your insurer will often ask for a GP referral and give you an authorisation code, so please check with them before you book.
Can I use my health insurance?
Yes. Mr Gallagher is recognised by major health insurers. Before your appointment, please contact your insurer to confirm your cover and obtain a pre-authorisation code.

- Your insurance policy number and authorisation code, if you are insured
- A list of your current medicines and any allergies
- Any previous scan reports, test results or letters relevant to your symptoms
